Helping Community Groups Lower Their Power Bills - applications now closed

The Powering Communities Program will help community groups across Casey get control of their energy use, while helping to play a part in reducing global emissions and ensure a healthy environment for future generations.

The Program will fund up to 12 projects worth a total of $67,700 in each electorate.

Grants of between $5,000 and $12,000 will be available to eligible community organisations, with no co-contribution required.

The grant will assist groups to lower their energy bills by

- installing solar panels or a battery

- upgrading air conditioners, hot water systems or a refrigerator with more efficient models

- replacing lighting with LEDs

- or conductiong an energy audit.

Please read the guidelines carefully to check that your organisation is eligible (refer to section 4) and the specifc installation requirements for solar panel or battery projects (section 5)

Note: the closing date for EOI's is 25 June 2021 and must include at least one quote, and a letter of consent from your building owner/manager (if required).
